Like the Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers at mass, Homebound Ministers are trained to bring the Body and Blood of Christ to those Church members who are homebound, residing in an assisted living facility and or are hospitalized. This involves a special compassion for those who are hurting. It is a truly special experience. Birthday cards are sent to all home-bound parishioners.
Homebound Ministry’s mission is to keep in touch with those homebound to instill a sense of inclusion in parish life.
For our shut-in parishioners, Homebound Ministers deliver flowers for Easter and Christmas whether they are in their own home or an assisted living facility.
Homebound Ministers are always glad to take the Holy Eucharist to those that are able to participate in the reception of Holy Communion.
