The administration of parishes is entrusted to the pastor, appointed by the bishop, who is required by canon law to establish certain advisory councils.  A parish finance council is required by canon law.  Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton’s Finance Council constitution may be found in the Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Policies:  Standards for Excellence:  An Ethics and Accountability Code.

The Parish Finance Council advises and assists the Pastor in the temporal administration of the parish that includes budgeting, matters of management, future planning, and in maintaining the sound fiscal stability of the parish.
