Dear St. Elizabeth Seton Parishioners,
For eight years now, I have been joyful to be a part of this wonderful parish community. Through COVID and power outages and other challenges, we have this beautiful parish where we come together to worship, to share our faith, and to serve people in need. This parish is a great blessing!
The worship, evangelization, and service we engage in as a parish is a sign to us and to our neighbors of the amazing things God works through us when we are united in our mission. Nourished by prayer and the sacraments, members of our parish community are on the path of discipleship and growing in relationship with Jesus Christ each day. We value formation in the faith and sharing our faith with others through evangelization. We also know the importance of bringing the love of God to our neighbors through acts of charity and service. Through our many ministries of worship, formation, stewardship, community-building, and service, we put into action the words of the Lord, “They will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (Jn 13:35).
With this in mind, I invite you to respond to our parish’s new stewardship program: Bring Christ to the World and the World to Christ. Please review the contents of this brochure and prayerfully consider how you and your family can play an active role in continuing the work of Jesus Christ through our parish community. Our goal is to increase our Sunday offertory contributions to fulfill Christ’s mission to us: to bring Christ to the world so we can bring the world to Christ. This is no easy task in today’s climate, but I am confident that our dedicated parishioners are up to the challenge.
On September 19-20, the parish will be holding a special Commitment Weekend, inviting members of our community to come together and make a financial commitment that will allow St. Elizabeth Seton Parish to continue our important work. We are counting on you! By participating in Bring Christ to the World and the World to Christ, we respond to God’s great gift of love by loving one another with the heart of His Son.
